What We Do
We respond to local emergencies (such as home fires) by providing shelter, food, and basic necessities.
We conduct blood drives.
We plan for local emergencies, to include emergency shelters, stored supplies, and more!
We teach babysitting, first aid, and CPR courses (and more!)
We provide official Red Cross communications to military families.
We send volunteers to respond to disasters on a regional and national scale.

Many people do not realize that our Moore County Chapter does not receive any funds from the National Office of the American Red Cross. Our operating budget comes only from the generous donations of our community!
The American Red Cross, although chartered by Congress, is not a government agency. We rely on the generosity and assistance of caring supporters like you to deliver our critical services. With your ongoing support, we can continue to keep our community strong through our various programs including:
- Response to Local Emergencies
- Disaster Relief Services
- Training in CPR, First Aid, and Water Safety
- Training for Babysitters
- 24-hour Military Assistance
- Blood Drives

Bring your donation to our Southern Pines office at 244 S.W. Broad Street. We are located in downtown Southern Pines, one-half block South of the Post Office.
