Our Mission

The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers, guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.

The mission of the Moore County Chapter of the American Red Cross, in addition to furthering the mission of the national organization, is specifically committed to the aid, welfare and general well being of the local population of Moore County, North Carolina.

The American Red Cross is not a government agency nor do we receive financial support from federal, state or local governments. We rely solely on the generosity of the private and business sectors to support the Moore County Chapter services rendered to the people of our jurisdiction.
